From decoding to comprehension I like challenging readers to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cognitive Communication <\/strong>Disorders can present after Acquired Brian Injuries or stroke. I have taken extra training in this emerging field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Autism is a <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nicolasjimenez.ca\/home\/autism\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"158\"><strong>Social Communication<\/strong> <strong>Disorder<\/strong><\/a>, it affects all areas of life. I work with the family unit to work on functional goals with the greatest impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For unintelligible children I create individualized treatment materials based on their interests.&nbsp;I&#8217;m comfortable with various <strong>AAC <\/strong>programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yo tambi\u00e9n trabajo en <strong>Espa\u00f1ol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nicolasjimenez.ca\/home\/speech-sound-disorders\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"110\">Speech difficulties<\/a><\/strong> with sounds like \/r\/, \/th\/, or lisps. <a href=\"https:\/\/nicolasjimenez.ca\/home\/motor-speech-disorders\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"149\">Motor speech<\/a> and Phonological Disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-3a88641f wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">At Home speech<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Providing speech therapy at home allows for greater collaboration, functional practice, and use of pre-existing interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like working with the following types of clients at their home:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non\/Minimal speakers needing AAC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emerging language learners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Global Developmental Delay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I visit Ottawa area clients in person during the day and after school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virtual Speech Therapy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I work with clients online all over Ontario. I use Zoom for secure video meetings.
